THE HOCKEY FARM |

“I discovered The Hockey Farm, quite by accident. I contacted Ryan Kuwabara, Director of Player Development, to discuss his program in more detail and I was blown away by his concept and his commitment to this program. My 13 year old son was just as enthusiastic to train with Ryan and Don Cameron, the Director of Off-ice programs, for the 13 weeks. I’ve been involved with hockey for 30 years and this program is the best I have ever seen. The training is intense, using techniques designed to take the students to their next level. The on-ice/off-ice instruction comes from many years of hockey experience and fitness training. Ryan and Don want to share their knowledge and expertise with others that share the same passion. By the end of the summer, my son’s fitness level had increased tremendously and his overall strength on ice had improved as well. This is a hockey camp like no other and I thank Ryan and Don for their commitment to helping my son achieve his goals. We will be returning again this year and my son is very excited about continuing his training for 2011.”

“The biggest thing in a hockey school is the quality of the instruction. Ryan and his staff challenge, motivate and teach how to train to become a better hockey player, both on and off the ice. From the on ice instruction dealing with game situations to the off ice training dealing with balance, core work and fitness, my son Cole was able to develop his skills to take his game to the next level. Thanks Ryan and Donnie!!

“With the end of the 2010 hockey season I knew I needed to get into top shape for the rigours of the upcoming Junior A hockey tryouts and the new hockey season. That spring my conditioning was poor and I had few opportunities to get on the ice. The other problem was that not any hockey training program would do. I needed intense dry- land and on- ice workouts. Any of the training programs that I was familiar with only offered training sessions during the day. I had a fulltime day job so these sessions wouldn’t work into my schedule. Thankfully, in late May, I was approached by Don Cameron. He came to our house and discussed the program that he and his partner, Ryan Kuwabara, were running called, The Hockey Farm. The first day “Kuwie” and Donny had me do some testing. The testing involved drills - sprints, squats, and push-ups. It seemed pretty straightforward at first, but I soon found out that a straightforward sprinting drill is not necessarily an easy sprinting drill. It was the hardest testing I had done in my life. And the drills were only the warm- up! Driving home that night I was already in pain. That pain told me that Donny and “Kuwie” could take me to the next level. At the end of the summer, I truly was in the best shape of my life, which carried over onto the ice and made me a better hockey player. The Hockey Farm gave me the individual attention and motivation I needed to always push myself further. Their combination of dry- land and on- ice training improved my muscle mass, power, strength, agility, balance, and endurance. I entered camp feeling confident that I would be able to use these strengths to get noticed and earn a place on the team. “Kuwie” and Donny are the perfect team to help you reach the next level! Thanks for everything guys! I’ll see you in the spring!”
